We are customizing a contract home with Eric’s uncle as our contractor. It has been so wonderful but making decisions has been stressful. I will do a separate post on what changes we made to the original layout. They are small changes but we feel like they make a BIG impact….our bedroom (the room in the pictures) was supposed to only have two windows but we added one for more light. I am so glad we did and can’t wait to share more about the other changes we made. Keep reading to find out what our style is.
I have gotten SO many questions about what our style is going to be for our home. It has been really hard to explain because we like so many different things. I would say the overall description is modern. But I also like kitchens that feel like they are 100 years old….a place where Italian grandmas spent hours making homemade pasta. As you can imagine, it is somewhat hard to pull those two style together…LOL. So I will just share some pictures I have found on instagram and pinterest that give me so much joy. I do gravitate toward Scandinavian design.
Keep in mind when looking at these inspiration photos that they are just that…inspiration…LOL. I am pretty sure just one of these kitchens would be our entire budget….but I will never stop dreaming and trying to achieve the look I want within a reasonable budget :)……..Does anybody else like this style?
